A special needs teen who was found roaming the streets of Yonkers has been identified and returned home safely.

Yonkers police say the boy was found on Palisade Avenue yesterday. The boy, who was described as a 15 to 20-year-old male, has been reunited with his family.
Police say people called in with his identity after seeing pictures that had been distributed by police.

It is unknown yet how the boy wandered away from his home facility.
