Somers volunteer firefighters responded to a fire inside a building at Lincoln Hall on Thursday.
The building is a school for vulnerable young men.
Firefighters found a light haze and burning smell inside and then found a dryer on fire in the basement.
Firefighters worked for about an hour and a half to contain the flames.
There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
