ALERTS: Air Quality Alert for Westchester, Orange, Putnam and Rockland counties from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
OVERVIEW: Happy Monday! A new week of weather is underway for the Hudson Valley. Unfortunately, bad air quality is back! Elevated levels of ground level ozone are likely today so folks with sensitivity to these unsafe particles like children, elderly and others with respiratory issues should take caution.
With high pressure still in control, there won't be much of a change in the forecast through Wednesday.
It will be unseasonably warm, and slightly humid for the next few days. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the upper 80s/low 90s. Tuesday will be much of the same — warm, dry, and mostly sunny. A cold front will sag south and cross the region from the southwest as we go into midweek. This will make rain chances likely starting late Wednesday and continuing into Thursday. Wednesday will be warmer with high temperatures in the low 90s.
The week will likely end dry behind the front.
