The death of 7-year-old Madison Bookall in a car crash in Somers has sparked calls for changes on the road where it happened.
People who live near Mahopac Avenue have launched a petition drive to get safety improvements made.
They want guard rails and at least one new stop sign installed on the road that runs past several local farms.
A town meeting to discuss safety changes for the roadway is planned for tomorrow at Somers Town Hall.
