Some parents, students and staff in Westchester will have to wait until next week to see what their district has planned for fall.
Chappaqua Central School District is among the schools who will not submit their plans until next week.
It says the state's Department of Education has allowed it an extension from the original due date of July 31.
The district’s Board of Education will hold a meeting Wednesday to present the key components of its plan.
Scarsdale Public Schools also announced that its request for an extension was approved.
The superintendent says the extension has given them more time to share plans with the community, incorporate feedback, finalize and submit plans. Some Scarsdale parents say the district hasn't kept the lines of communication open in terms of its progress.
The new deadline for the districts who applied for an extension is Aug. 7.
