It was a slow and slippery evening commute in Rockland County Thursday evening, causing issues for emergency vehicles to get to their calls.
At the intersection of Airmont Road and Route 59, emergency vehicles struggled to maneuver through the snow-covered roadways.
"There's an ambulance that took 20 minutes from the light to the corner, it's like Armageddon," said business owner Ray Mazzei.
Ambulances weren't alone in the struggle to get through bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Cars were sliding as wheels got caught in the snow and drivers found themselves going nowhere.
First responders needed to get by and their frustrations grew.
"Nobody's moving. They're beeping, they're on their speakers telling people to slide over, nobody listens," said one driver.
