Eight months after a cliff collapsed on their stores, some merchants in Pelham are slowly starting to get back in business.
The landslide forced a row of businesses on Fifth Avenue to close since December 20. The street was reduced to a construction zone while crews worked to clean up the debris and shore up the cliff. Now that the cliff has been secured, businesses can start the process of preparing their stores to open.
Most businesses hope to reopen within a month.
