It's almost Christmas and that means many shoppers across the Hudson Valley are rushing to local stores or heading on-line to grab gifts and take advantage of deals.

The second Monday in December is called "Green Monday" and considered one of the busiest shopping days of the year in the retail industry.

Experts at Investopedia spoke with News 12 about what you should be on the lookout for today. "“Retailers are already sending out coupons and discount codes, whether it’s on your social media feeds or to your email or directly to your door in your newspaper. The discounts are hot, this is probably about as steep as they are going to be," says Caleb Silver, of Investopedia. 

Silver also says the growng price tag for gifts is a big concern for consumers. The number one worry when it comes to finances among people surveyed is inflation.
