Time is running out for last-minute shoppers to purchase Christmas gifts.
Stores are hoping to lure people in with holiday deals and extended hours. Kohl's in Nanuet, for example, is open around-the-clock until Christmas Eve.
Store owners say the life saver for procrastinators is the gift card. While some people say the gift card seems impersonal, the National Retailer Federation say gift cards are the top holiday wish list for the nineth year in a row.
And although the weather doesn't exactly make it feel like Christmas, it does make it easier to go from store to store. "It's easier to get out. I think [it] will be good for shoppers," says Barbara Callahan, of Congers.
