State and local law enforcement agencies are on heightened alert after the mass shooting in Orlando.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has ordered increased security at key points such as transportation hubs and large gatherings like sporting events statewide. "There will be extra deployment at places of mass gatherings, such as this parade, transportation centers, etc., which is our normal protocol when there has been a possible terrorist attack. We're increasing the police presence in critical areas across the state," says Cuomo, who was marching Sunday in the New York Puerto Rican Day Parade.

Extra security patrols can now be seen in New York City even though law enforcement officials say there are no credible threats in connection with the Orlando massacre. Police say they're working with law enforcement in Florida and the FBI, and they're also keeping an extra close eye on LGBT facilities and events.

There was a heavy police presence in Nyack Sunday for the Rockland Pride Day as the victims of the Orlando massacre were remembered.

Commuters in White Plains told News 12 today they pretty much expect to see a beefed up police presence after a terror attack whether it's in our own country or somewhere else. "I know Grand Central sometimes becomes a little bit frightening with all the crews around and armed soldiers, but look, it's the sign of the times," says Lou Vitali, of Briarcliff.
