Westchester County motorists are dealing with a major highway being shut down for much of this weekend.
The Bronx River Parkway is shut down from Yonkers to the Westchester County Center at Exit 22 in White Plains as workers install seven concrete box beams over the Metro-North tracks at Crain Road Bridge.
Officials say the Parkway will open again Sunday at 9 a.m.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino say the Bronx River Parkway will be wider, have fewer curves and new sidewalks, which will make it safer for residents.
