Second man in a week dies at same skydiving facility

Police say 41-year-old David Richardson took off from "Skydive The Ranch" in Gardiner and hit the ground too hard when attempting to land.

There has been another fatal skydiving accident in the Hudson Valley at the same facility in just seven days. 
State police say 41-year-old David Richardson took off from "Skydive The Ranch" in Gardiner and hit the ground too hard when attempting to do a “swoop landing.”
He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
On June 28, William McCartin was found dead without his parachute after jumping out of a plane that took off from the same facility.
