Search and rescue efforts have resumed this morning for a man who went missing in Greenwood Lake on Tuesday afternoon.

Police from the Town of Warwick said the man was reported missing after he went into the water and did not resurface.

"We're still gathering statements from any witnesses," said Warwick Police Chief John Rader. "At this point, we're in a search and recovery mode, so we're trying to get this part of the operation done first." Rader added, "There will be more details as they become available, but our priority right now is on locating the victim and ending this part of the operation."

Dive teams from Orange, Rockland and New Jersey counties searched the lake for hours on Tuesday, but suspended operations around 8 p.m.
