The hunt for a person who stabbed a Valley Cottage woman in New Jersey continued Monday.

Laura Matousek was found Friday morning in the parking lot of the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah. She was supposed to meet a co-worker there to get a ride to work.

Officials in New Jersey and Rockland County immediately began searching for her ex-husband. The two once lived together in Valley Cottage and despite having been divorced for two years, the Spring Valley man was a person of interest.

Allan Pelcak Jr. was later released after extensive questioning.

Matousek was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center. The hospital did not release her condition Monday.
