For the first time since the deadly crash that killed eight, Daniel Schuler sat down with police Friday accompanied by his attorney, to discuss his wife?s fateful turn on the Taconic State Parkway.
Police say they wanted to know about what happened before Schuler?s wife, Diane, left the upstate campground she and her family were staying at prior to the accident.
According to People magazine, Diane Schuler's brother in law says the family knew she was regular pot smoker and even used it when she couldn't sleep. A private investigator working for Daniel Schuler says Diane was seen on tape trying to buy Tylenol or Advil about two hours before the crash.
Police don?t know if Diane Schuler was sober when she left the campground. Police say she also smoked pot possibly just 15 minutes before the crash.
