News 12 has confirmed that Schenectady's school superintendent is a finalist for a job in Yonkers.

Anibal Soler is the current superintendent of the Schenectady City School District.

A Yonkers district spokesman added the search is nearing an end but would not say how many finalists there are or when a superintendent may be named.

Soler has been in Schenectady since July 2021 and has also served as superintendent of the Batavia City School District.

Luis Rodriguez has been serving as interim superintendent in Yonkers since Edwin Quezada left the position last July.
