63ds agoKids in New Rochelle got a special visit from Santa as he toured the city with the police and fire departments.
At the beginning of the pandemic, New Rochelle was one of the hardest-hit cities in the whole country. City residents had to miss out on some favorite traditions.
"There was no summer camps, there was no July 4 fireworks, there was no lighted boat parade, there was no street fair," New Rochelle Parks and Rec Deputy Commissioner Vin Parise.
As much of a Grinch 2020 has been, the city made sure it couldn't steal Christmas. Santa went on tour across several parks in New Rochelle.
Still, taking holiday photos looked a little different this time with everyone wearing masks – including St. Nick.
