The Memorial Day holiday weekend is now over and it's back to work and school for most people in the Hudson Valley.
But for many, the three-day weekend offered a chance to go to one of Westchester's iconic landmarks. People packed Rye Playland to enjoy all the park has to offer over during the long holiday weekend.
There was something for everyone on Memorial Day, whether it was a round of golf or a thrill ride on the big Ferris wheel. "We played, [rode the] roller coaster, we ate lunch, then we went to the roller coaster ... then we went to the swings," says Amaiyah McKenzie, of Mount Vernon.
Rye Playland officially opened its doors to the public on May 10, and it will remain open daily until Sept. 1.
