Rye Neck High School was evacuated today due to a bomb threat inside the school.
Police say a student at the school sent an email to another student stating that he was going to plant a bomb at the school.
Emergency procedures were activated and the school was evacuated while the Westchester County Bomb Squad conducted a sweep of the school as a precaution. Once the sweep was completed, students were allowed back into the school at around noon.
The student sending the email was identified and questioned about the email threat. It is unknown at this time if charges will be filed.
