People both young and old participated in the Holiday Hustle 5K on Sunday morning in Dobbs Ferry.
The race started at Mercy College and ended at the police station. Runners dressed up in their best holiday costumes.
Thanks to the race, 50 needy families will have a holiday meal and 100 kids will wake up Christmas morning to toys that they otherwise would not have had.
The race saw about 400 runners, up from last year when only about 100 runners took part in the 5K.
The Dobbs Ferry Police Department sponsors the run and will give all of the proceeds to the Dobbs Ferry Youth Services Counsel.
