Rush hour traffic in New Castle screeched to a halt Wednesday morning after an accident on Route 22.
Authorities say the chain-reaction accident involving four vehicles happened at about 8 a.m. Police say the accident, which they are still gathering details about, involved vehicles traveling both northbound and southbound on Route 22.
Three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
