The slick weather conditions Sunday made for a treacherous ride home for many people coming back from a long holiday weekend.
Police say there were about 100 accidents on roadways in Westchester and the Hudson Valley, including the Hutchinson River Parkway and Saw Mill River Parkway. The accidents mostly happened over a span of two hours Sunday morning.
"I'm coming back from North Carolina," says Marie Frank, who was bothered by the weather conditions she encountered on her return home. "The sun was shining [in North Carolina], we were wearing short-sleeved shirts."
Authorities say drivers should be mindful of the weather conditions and slow down.
