A Rockland County filmmaker is asking for the public's helping identifying the people he interviewed on Sept. 11, 2001.

It's for a documentary on the impacts of the attacks and the resilience of New Yorkers.

Producer Patrick Heaphy was working in Manhattan on the day of the attacks. When the first plane hit the World Trade Center, he grabbed his video camera and started walking down Fifth Avenue.
Heaphy asked questions to dozens of people on the street as they watched tragedy unfold just blocks away.

"With the 20th anniversary coming around, we were like, we could try to find all of the people and see where they are now. What was this day like for them?" said Heaphy.

Heaphy and his production team in Pearl River have identified a handful of people so far using social media and context clues. They tracked down one woman in New Jersey by the logo on the T-shirt she was wearing. They interviewed her this summer.
