Rockland is now on the list of counties legalizing the sale of sparklers.
Lawmakers in Rockland passed the measure Tuesday night to allow the fireworks.
Under a new state law, counties can allow the sale of sparklers twice a year.
The sales would be legal between June 1 through July 5, and also from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.
Rockland County Executive Ed Day has 21 days to sign or veto the legislation.
