Pope Francis has been called a "Rock Star" because of the enthusiasm people, especially young people, have for him.
The pontiff has a lot of fans at Dominican College, in Orangeburg, and not all of them are students.
But only 40 people, half of them students, were chosen by lottery to attend the pope's Mass at Madison Square Garden. "His position doesn't mean that he isn't a normal human being. That's what he portrays when he talks to everyone. That he's just like one of us," says senior Erica Descartes.
The head of Dominican College says Pope Francis sets a good example for today's young people. "The students are very committed to service and to helping others, and they see that lived out in this pope, very well," Dominican College President Sr. Mary Ellen O'Brien.
