Republican challenger Rob Astorino defeated Democratic incumbent Westchester County Executive Andy Spano on Election Day.
With 87 percent of precincts reporting, Astorino had claimed 58 percent of the vote, while Spano won only 42 percent.
Spano defeated Astorino by double digits in 2005.
