A fire heavily damaged a home in the Village of Rhinebeck on Wednesday evening.
The Rhinebeck Fire Department says crews were dispatched just before 8 p.m. for a report of a room on fire.
Crews arrived within two minutes and found heavy flames coming from the side of the house.
A second alarm was transmitted to bring in more personnel and equipment from surrounding areas. Firefighters stretched handlines and made an aggressive interior attack, resulting in a fast knockdown of the flames.
Crews remained on scene for several hours to ensure all hidden fire was extinguished. Fire department units and investigators cleared the scene at about midnight.
There were no injuries to residents or responders.
