Thousands of people in the Hudson Valley who have been tested for COVID-19 say they have been waiting for their results for a long period of time.
News 12 spoke to several people who have been tested who say it is great that the state is increasing testing, but that it takes too long to get results.

Some people say they waited a week and others say they waited two weeks.

Michael Randy Myserson is 67 years old, had a heart attack in 2013 and has six stents.

Myserson says he was tested at Medrite in Spring Valley and waited eight days before finding out he tested negative. He said the experience was "disorganized."

Medright told News 12 it switched to a new lab and tests are coming in quicker now.

One Yonkers woman said she waited 10 days before her negative result came in. She was tested at City MD.

A 74-year-old from Eastchester is on day 11 and says the Westchester County Health Department told her she has to be retested. Arlene Moore said she was told there was a glitch in the system and it happened to many people.

Moore is getting retested Friday.

City MD told News 12 they do not process the tests themselves. The lab they work with gives an estimate of five to seven days.
