Westchester County residents are trying to make sure a former animal shelter continues to serve as a place for homeless animals.
Dedicated pet lovers are fighting to bring Paws Crossed Animal Rescue to Elmsford after Pets Alive, the former no-kill animal shelter, closed due to financial and safety issues.
At Greenburgh Town Hall Monday night, officials from Paws Crossed stated their case.
Pets Alive has total control over whom they sell the property to, as they own the property. Paws Crossed has until Oct. 10 to present a proposal to take over the old Pets Alive facility.
