Republican Senate hopeful Kathleen Troia "KT" McFarland is temporarily suspending her campaign. The suspension comes following news of her daughter's arrest for shoplifting in Suffolk County over the weekend. Her daughter, 16-year-old Camilla, was charged with two counts each of petty theft and possession of stolen goods. McFarland, a former Reagan Administration Pentagon official, was set to face off in the September 12th primary against former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer. She says she will resume active campaigning only when she knows Camilla is better and getting the help she needs. Spencer says he was unaware of McFarland?s troubles until News 12 Westchester caught up with him at a fundraiser in Yonkers.
