Another scandal could be brewing for Putnam County District Attorney Adam Levy as reports allege that he made a deal with a convicted felon to gain an edge in court.
According to a Journal News report, Adam Levy made a deal that allowed the felon to perform a sex act with his girlfriend in one of Levy's conference rooms. In exchange, Levy reportedly got the felon to testify against a lawyer he was prosecuting.
In a court document obtained by News 12, prisoner Quincy McQuaid made the claims to his girlfriend, who is also incarcerated.
Levy's office is vehemently denying that the alleged exchange occurred.
In a statement, the police department supervising McQuaid claimed that he was never unsupervised, and that no such contact took place.
Due to the allegations, a witness-tampering case against Westchester lawyer George Galgano could be thrown out. A judge is expected to decide this Friday whether the case against Galgano should be tossed out.
