The pilot of a private plane that crashed into the Titicus Reservoir last month was cleared to land at Danbury Airport.
A preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Board says that just as pilot Val Horsa got the OK to land, the plane turned away from the airport. Debris was found in the reservoir the next day.
Horsa and his wife, from South Salem, were on board the plane.
A final report on the crash could take up to a year to complete.
