Rep. Pat Ryan is calling for the United States Postal Service to reopen the Westbrookville Post Office after being closed for the past 60 days.
Ryan says he sent a letter on Monday to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy after the United States Postal Service notified Westbrookville residents the location would be closing on June 28 with just a 24-hour notice, which breaks USPS regulations that require a 60-day notice.
"I've spoken with seniors struggling to access medications and families forced to travel to other towns to receive their packages due to the sudden closure of the Westbrookville Post Office," Ryan said in a statement.
The Westbrookville community does not have mail delivery services.
