An apartment fire in Croton-on-Hudson displaced 27 people from 12 families Saturday morning.
A fire ripped through 11 Scenic Drive at around 10:30 a.m., forcing residents to evacuate. Neighbors told News 12 they saw smoke coming out of one of the sections of the building and called 911.
Some residents were not there at the time of the blaze and say they were shocked to come home and find padlocks on the door leading to their apartment.
Many units suffered long-term damage, but some residents have already been allowed back home.
