Real Deal: These industries are hot for hiring in New York

When it comes to paychecks, experts say wage growth actually outpaced inflation in New York.

You might be looking to make a career change or maybe you want to know what jobs are paying more. News 12 has the Real Deal on hiring in New York.

Caleb Silver, editor in chief at Investopedia, says, "The job growth has been around social services. So if you look across industries school and employee bus transportation that's up 16% year over year. Home and health care services 13.5% plus there, community food housing relief jobs those are up about 11.2% and then services for the elderly and persons with disabilities up about 9% year over year."

When it comes to paychecks, Silver says wage growth actually outpaced inflation in New York.

In terms of where paychecks are getting a boost he says, "if you are looking for the strongest wage growth, that's been in professional a business services, your lawyers and your accountants that's up about 7%, the average pay there close to around $50 an hour."
