A Brooklyn studio is featuring a workout that combines martial arts and dance.
Omulu Capoeira School is offering classes in Capoeira. The martial arts style began during the 1800s in Brazil when African slaves were forced to disguise combat training as a form of dance.
The workout offers agility, stamina, and cardiovascular benefits, as well as balance and flexibility.
Students also say there is a spiritual, physical and strong mental component to the art.
