A Ramapo police officer saved a few animals over the weekend.
Officer Patrick Callinan was called to help a deer that had fallen down a stairwell leading to a basement in the Village of Wesley Hills.
Later on, Callinan was called about a feral kitten in need of medical attention.
The kitten was taken to Veterinary Emergency Group in Nanuet for evaluation and treatment.
Those who are interested in giving the kitten a forever home can contact the group.
