Ramapo K-9 officer recognized for finding massive drug stash, money, and a weapon

Congratulations are being sent to Ramapo Police Officer Raymond Burr and his K-9 Remi.
The pair was featured in the Fall/Winter 2022 Canine Courier, the official magazine of the United States Police Canine Association.
The magazine highlights an incident in September where Remi and Officer Burr were requested to assist the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in conducting a multi-agency operation - “Operation Final Blow.”
The dynamic duo was used during a search warrant at a single-family dwelling. During a search of the location, Remi alerted officers to the presence of a narcotic odor in three of the six rooms searched.
Remi’s alerts led to the finding over 30 grams of suspected crack cocaine, loose pills, a .25 caliber handgun, 125 Suboxone strips, 38.1 grams of multi-colored pills suspected to be ecstasy, 102.1 grams of cocaine and 1.7 grams of an unknown type narcotic. Also, over $1,200 of cash was seized.
