The massacre that occurred a Pittsburgh synagogue has affected people of all religions across the country and in the Hudson Valley
Rabbi Mendy Hurwitz, of the Chabad of Yonkers, joined Lisa Salvadorini and Tara Joyce to discuss the shooting and his synagogue’s reaction.
Hurwitz says his congregation was “crushed and hurt” when they learned the news on Saturday.  He says that he hopes that people of faith can come together and use the tragedy to make something positive.
He says the Jewish have a long history of using these type of events to become better people. “If someone isn't well you have to treat them. Security measure should be left to professionals...living in fear is not going to help us and is not going to change things,” says Hurwitz.
