A Putnam County man is being awarded $12 million after serving time for crimes he didn’t commit.
Anthony DiPippo was convicted twice in the 1994 murder of 12-year-old Josette Wright. He was acquitted in 2016 following a third trial.
The settlement is part of a federal lawsuit DiPippo brought against the county.
News 12 is told the county will pay $200,000 and the rest will be covered by insurance.
