Over 100 protesters gathered outside the Westchester County Courthouse in a new push to get masks off kids in local classrooms
Chanting and holding signs, the group protested the state's indoor mask mandate in schools.
The rally took place after a state appeals court dismissed a motion to overturn the mandate.
As of now, masks are still required in schools, public health care facilities and on public transportation. “Unmask our children...it's not about science, it's about political science," chanted Tina Forte, of Rockland County.
Gov. Kathy Hochul has said she will reassess the school masking rule the first week of March, after students return from winter break.
