Former New York Gov. George Pataki rallied for voters in Peekskill Sunday just days after announcing his bid for the presidency.
The rally was held at the Lincoln Depot Museum, his first stop in Westchester since jumping into the race.
"This is my home, this is where my values were formed and this is where I will always, always have my heart," he said.
The former three-term governor hasn't held elected office since 2006, and a recent poll found his support among Republicans voters at less than 1 percent. Pataki said he is ready for the challenge.
"I remember when I ran for the state Senate and we had a very small chance," he said. "Then I remember when I ran for governor and people didn't think I had any chance. Let's go do it again."
Pataki is the second Westchester resident to jump into the presidential race. Hillary Clinton was the first.
