Good stuff there. All right, let's get another check of the weather. Yeah, Alan's back and we're talking cold weather like we're probably used to doing in December. Right. A right. Right. So we're pretty much back to where we should be this time of year. And you think today is cold gets even colder into tomorrow. So, let's take a look. Let's fast forward 24 hours and what we're going to see our temperatures close to the freezing mark tomorrow morning, especially northern parts of our bro. So Riverdale and North Bay Chester close to that freezing mark and it's going to feel like a little bit below freezing. So definitely colder than this morning. 34 for sound, be 35 for throgs that not much of an improvement into the afternoon as we're going to see lots of cloud cover, keeping us on the cold side. So it's going to be a struggle to reach 40 degrees. I think most of us do that. But it's going to feel like the thirties all day long. So, back to that December kind of cold hour by hour, you can see most of the day we're in the thirties, maybe during that two o'clock hour, we do reach the 40 degree mark. Then things get a little bit interesting for Thursday. Notice clouds come right back in and look at the left side of the screen over there. That's right. That's snow. So for us it's just going to be cold, it's going to be about 39 degrees. Then look at that. A couple of snowflakes are pretty close to us here in the Bronx. Of course, this is still a couple of days out, but I can't rule out a couple of those snowflakes, but the forecast is definitely improving most of the day is going to be dry. So looking at Hanukkah as it is ushering in uh for sunset, the temperatures, they are going down from 39 degrees into the middle 30. So you definitely want to bundle up if you're going out and about 10 day forecast is going to show warm up goes really, really into overdrive this weekend. But so does the rain chance big storm system looks likelier and likelier when exactly on Sunday, we're figuring that out, but move those plans to Saturday. Good advice for everyone. Thank you, Alan. Right now, storm watch teams, Hoose has been tracking some chilly weather making its way. Are we a chilly or cold? Hope, what are we looking at now? Chilly, too cold. So we're starting off with some chilly temperatures tomorrow and then it's just going to gradually get colder as the week goes on. So here's a first look at what you can expect. This week, the cold does return some wet weather and then we warm up, warm up. So a little bit of a roller coaster that we need to get through as we get through the next couple of days. But this is where we're starting the day, mid to upper thirties to start our Tuesday, we're going to see a little bit of that sunshine, but the cold, that's what you're gonna feel tomorrow morning feel like temperatures will be near 30 degrees. So in the afternoon, mid forties and then we start to experience some colder air. By Wednesday morning, you're waking up the temperatures near 30 degrees once again and it looks like temperatures are really struggle to get to near 40 degrees by Wednesday afternoon. The only good thing about this weather pattern is that we're not seeing any wet weather that's going to hold off until the weekend. But the coldest air that we'll experience this week will be actually Wednesday night into Thursday morning, temperatures will be in the mid to upper twenties, feeling like the low twenties and even the thirties as the day goes on. So as we get into the end of the week, it is going to be dry but milder Friday and Saturday looks and feels amazing. But this is what we're watching for our Sunday, the storm system, it is going to bring in a swath of rain and even some gusty winds, we're still ironing out the details to find out the exact timing and impact for the storm. So keep it in our new 12 and we'll let you know as the week goes on. But in the short term, it is going to be cold by tomorrow and even through Thursday.

And storm watch team. Meteorologist Scott Skoff is here now and hey, it looks pretty nice and sunny out there. Oh, it's be a beautiful, nice. It is looking great. Today is actually gonna be one of the nicest days of the week because tomorrow it's gonna be some changes. Yeah, some changes might not be the best thing in the world. But hey, you know what, today, let's just go outside and enjoy it. Pleasant conditions. Gonna be a cloudy and breezy into the afternoon. So all in, all looking peachy keen out there, we are seeing some good conditions out across western Connecticut. But as you go towards tomorrow and Wednesday, even Thursday, things are gonna get colder. So be ready for that winter gear, subfreezing temperatures in the mornings, real cold in the afternoons, upper thirties to around 40 colder as the week progresses. But then the temperatures rise back up Friday in the forties, fifties on the weekend. But Sunday could come with a catch. Some showers are on the way, even some stronger winds and that's what we're gonna be seeing really off and on throughout the week. 10 to 20 MPH. So, garbage cans might get knocked over, secure them in the garage. Anchor down those holiday decorations, the inflatables you don't want Mr Grinch going all over down to your neighbor's house. Right, because we are looking at a little bit of snow over in New York state that is gonna be just to our north. But however, we could see a stray raindrop lake or ice pedal coming on in from the Great Lakes over the next several hours as colder air comes on. And right now though mainly cloudy skies as that's gonna be continuing to push across Litchfield, Fairfield and New Haven counties into the overnight hours. So what are you looking at cloudy skies this afternoon? Temperatures in the upper forties to around 50 degrees? That's really the warmest it's gonna get throughout the day. Temperatures will cool down with a little bit of moisture pushing in around dinner time towards war in Cornwall, Litchfield County along and north of 84. Then that cooler air is gonna dry us out, make us real cold towards Cornwall 2930 is up. So across the region Tuesday morning. So kids definitely have the jacket on their way to school and then a few more clouds into the afternoon for your Tuesday. But today, upper forties toward the north fifties down to the south, mostly the partly sunny skies, more breezy and cloudy conditions as the day goes on with a few gusty winds overnight, those temperatures dropping to around freezing with clearing conditions into the morning. Tomorrow, those winds will make it feel a little bit colder into the twenties. But then as we go into your Tuesday tomorrow, 43 degrees 40 on Wednesday, 38 on Thursday, looking at some more wind and clouds and then those temperatures increase forties and fifties as Hanukkah progresses, then some rain chances on Sunday. All right. There are less than 21 days until Christmas and a week to the first day of winter. I don't like, I don't like talking about that. I just go, don't worry, Kevin, we're gonna go ahead and make sure that we're gonna have any cold air coming our way as we move on in towards those first few days of winter coming on up because you can see that temperature trend for the month of December shows us trending on the warmer than average side. In which case, the average high throughout the month is around 39 to 47 degrees. So we'll be seeing sixties and seventies. No, but we'll be trending a little bit around 47. Are you a little bit warmer? Yeah, it's certainly possible. Especially heading up in tours this weekend. I'll show you those numbers in just a moment first. These numbers right here as we're continuing the countdown for the holiday season. We do have winter officially arriving December 21st in the evening hours, 17 days from now. Christmas arrives, of course, December 25th, 21 days from now. So you still have time to go ahead and continue some holiday shopping and New Year's Eve, of course, getting ready to ring in 2024 27 days from now. Now looking out and about, it's a quiet night out there past the Cuomo Bridge. We are watching those skies getting clearer as time goes on, temperatures cooling down to the upper thirties and then we'll watch more cloud cover head our way going in through the middle of the day, but no showers are coming out of those clouds. In fact, we'll continue to enjoy a dry stretch of weather. We certainly do need to have that kind of raw wet day on Sunday. Well, look at this. Our next chance of rain is coming up this coming Sunday where we're gonna be watching a large system moving towards the northeast, but Saturday is gonna be beautiful. It's my pick of the week. Probably cloudy guys, 53 degrees for a high running nearly 10 degrees above the average high of 44. So for your future cast, we go tomorrow afternoon, we have temperatures in the thirties and forties feeling a little bit cooler. And then by Wednesday morning, we see those temperatures in the twenties and thirties having a touch of a chill in the air. So each and every morning going forward, it's gonna feel a little bit colder and colder. Getting in towards Friday to Saturday. Here comes that system heading our way. A southerly breeze will help to boost those temperatures on Friday and Saturday. Then here comes the rain, Sunday morning, just rain coming on down, breezy winds. Then the system is out of here by Sunday night. So we should go in towards our Monday coming out of next week with drier, yet cooler air coming on down. So guys overall a very nice stretch of 10 days with one dreary day in sight.

Today, any chance we get this time of year to get them outside. Go, go, go. Absolutely. Get outside. You know, yesterday, we were rich. We had temperatures in the fifties and now we're going to see a bit of a chill the next several days and take a look. Our temperatures out here for this morning are sorting out in the thirties and forties. Good morning River ahead. 37 degrees. 39 Rocky 0.40 in Smithtown. 41 in Bay Shore. Our typical average low now is 32 degrees and we're going to see more colder weather coming away over the next couple of days. So, running out the door this morning, this is what you dress for, feels like temperatures or those wind chills around freezing this morning. So, at the train platforms at the bus stops, yeah, a bit of a chill going throughout our day. And the morning sunshine goes back to the clouds during our afternoon hours as we have cold air in place later today. Look at us around three o'clock, 43 degrees in corm high temperature day of 44 that is dead from 54 degrees that we had yesterday. So really nice afternoon yesterday, even though we had the clouds now today take a look. Starting off this morning sunshine from Hempstead over to Uniondale and Elmont Floral Park out towards Bellport, Mastic to Yapan. We're looking at some sunny skies this morning and then during the afternoon with the clouds, it's gonna be feeling chilly or cold. Take a look as we go to four temperatures are in the lower forties. So towards the evening rush hour dry conditions. So it's sunshine this morning clouds this afternoon. Temperatures only in the forties, your dry for the evening rush, mostly cloudy skies overnight into tomorrow morning. Temperatures are in the thirties. Now, during the day on Wednesday, partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies, it's gonna feel cold. Notice our temperatures are in the thirties in the morning. Really don't rebound all that much tomorrow afternoon. There's going to be a slight chance of a quick Sprinkle or flurry a little bit of moisture possible during Wednesday afternoon, a reinforcing shot of cold air Thursday morning, twenties to sort off our day to low thirties. And then during the afternoon hours of Thursday, we'll have some clouds and temperatures are going to struggle to around 40 degrees. And then for the weekend, we get a warm up on Sunday, but here comes that rain, some of it could be moderate at times highs today near 44 sunshine this morning. Then the clouds come in thirties tonight mostly cloudy. It's cold, cold for the start of Hanukkah. Then the warm up towards the weekend and tracking that rain Sunday into Monday morning.

Rizzo, at least for the most part, Mike. We're dry here again today. Yeah, we're dry here today and we're dry for the most part until the weekend, you know, Sunday night into Monday, maybe something's coming through. And I think it's more likely that something is by that time. But hey, we got a couple of days to work out the details and I promise by the end of the week, we'll have some more understanding of when it's coming and what exactly it is. But right now, I do know it's rain. So that's all I kind of know as we head into the weekend. So future cast for the term calls are just building clouds today. By 230 this afternoon, you'll see a deck of clouds across the state. It's actually not going to be a bad deal. Overnight. Clouds continue to pass through, maybe a rope sprinkled, but many of us will be sleeping when that happens by tomorrow morning, it's actually going to be cold, 35 degrees, passing clouds, some breaks of sun. Really. Not a bad day. Tomorrow, there's going to be some weak energy in the upper atmosphere that could spark a rogue flurry, maybe a Sprinkle. Warren, Morris Sussex counties. Not a big, most people probably not even going to see them, but there's that chance and more or less temperatures in the lower forties probably means that it's going to be rain or like a little Sprinkle. Right. Not rain but a Sprinkle. So, just be aware of that for Wednesday afternoon. I don't think it's going to be much of an issue. Breaks of sun, mostly cloudy out of, of things are just pretty steady and into Wednesday. Now come Thursday, there was going to be another piece of energy generally over the west is going to be over Pennsylvania mostly. But for us, we're just going to seeing temperatures in the low forties, breaks of sun, mostly cloudy conditions and South Jersey, uh that's Burlington County and South probably going to be dealing with a, a quick little like a Sprinkle or a shower as it had toward a Thursday night. Otherwise the rest of us are going to be dealing with quiet weather into Fridays. The sun emerges out and then as we get into the weekend, that's where we're going to be watching for Sunday. 10 day forecast highlights our temperatures kind of moving up into Friday and Saturday with sunshine temperatures in the fifties. If we take a look at Sunday, I do want you to note that there will be rain at some point on Sunday as a passing front comes through, it's gonna kick in some winds, it's gonna kick in some rain and this is likely going to happen toward the evening. Now, the good news is that it's not cold enough to support any kind of snow. Temperature is going to be near 56 degrees. So do keep in mind that it's likely just the rain as we head into the second half of the weekend and early next week looks windy, but temperatures come back down into the forties.
