A prayer service for Ebola victims was held Friday at the Gospel Outreach International Ministries Church in Yonkers.
Many of the families at the church are from countries in West Africa like Liberia, Ghana and Sierra Leone. Many of them also have relatives back in West Africa affected by the outbreak.
Dozens came to the service to pray for the victims and the health care workers. The pastor of the church says no one in the church has family who has been sickened, but they are worried it could happen.
According to the CDC, almost 5,000 people in West Africa have died of Ebola.
