yesterdayPoughkeepsie police are investigating a string of burglaries that have left residents uneasy.
Officers were called last Wednesday to a home on Osbourne Road. Residents reported that they had left for the day and returned in the evening to find their home had been ransacked and items stolen.
On Friday, police received a similar call about a burglary at a home on Beechwood Avenue.
Both incidents are currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the police tip line at 845-451-7577.
