10h agoA Poughkeepsie man is facing charges for allegedly kidnapping a 4-year-old child at knifepoint.
Town of Poughkeepsie police say they responded to a 911 call to a home at Dutchess Turnpike in Poughkeepsie around 8 a.m. Thursday.
They say the suspect, Isaiah Stratford, is the child's non-custodial father.
About an hour later, the vehicle was spotted by a Village of Millbrook police officer on state Route 343.
The vehicle was stopped, and the child was taken by responding officers.
Stratford is charged with kidnapping, menacing, and endangering the welfare of a child.
