It's a much smoother ride for drivers going through Elmsford after complaints about potholes along an uneven stretch of Route 9A.
News 12 visited the site back in July after learning about Jennifer Glenn's online petition.
"A lot of people all over started sharing it, it just started going everywhere and it just picked up a lot of traction," says Glenn
The road's condition was bad and impacting those who passed through.
The petition led to meetings between Glenn and Senate Majority Leader Andrea
Stewart-Cousins, who managed to find funding to get the ball rolling on fixing a mile and a half of the road. The whole stretch has been officially milled and paved.
"Just want a whole community to thrive because when we have safe infrastructure, it's like a domino effect, it benefits everyone," says Glenn.
