Police: Yonkers man arrested for robbing gas station, slashing worker

They say Nelson Rosa had a verbal dispute and slashed the gas station employee on the face before running off with more than $1,000 in cash.

A Yonkers man is facing charges in the robbery of a gas station in Peekskill and the assault of a worker.
Police say the incident happened around 4 a.m. Sunday at the Mobil station on Washington Street.
They say Nelson Rosa had a verbal dispute and slashed the gas station employee on the face before running off with more than $1,000 in cash.
Police eventually caught up with him and arrested him.
Rosa is facing numerous charges, including robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and obstructing the duties of a police officer.
The victim was released from the hospital after receiving treatment.
