State police say the driver of a minivan was seriously injured Wednesday night when his vehicle got pinned under a truck on I-95.
The accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. on the southbound side of I-95 near the Nelson Bridge in Harrison. State police say the minivan's driver, a 39-year-old man from upstate, drifted onto the shoulder of the road and slammed into the parked truck, shearing the van's roof off.
Police say the van's driver was flown to Westchester Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and is in serious condition. I-95 was closed for about two hours overnight as police investigated the accident.
