Two people stole a
car from Connecticut and led police on a chase through Westchester,
according to Westchester County police.
Authorities say one
person was apprehended after law enforcement identified the stolen car in Mount
Vernon on Monday.
The second suspect
then allegedly drove off and crashed along the Hutchinson River
Parkway and fled the scene.
After an extensive search in the woods near Quaker
Ridge Golf Course, officers later caught that
person along Continental Road in Scarsdale.
Both suspects are from Connecticut, and
the vehicle in question was originally taken from a driveway in Westport.
Two stolen guns were also recovered.
The two suspects face a slew of charges,
including firearms possession, possession of stolen property, reckless driving
and eluding police.
